In a time and world portrayed as increasingly globalized, cooperation between higher educational institutions (HEIs) is no more an odd event – rather, it has be-come the norm. But what do we know about such cooperation? What is the result of international collaboration in education, for students, faculty, HEIs and the involved nations? How is failure avoided and how is success guaranteed? What can we learn from previous projects and what more do we need to know to be able to guarantee that such projects have a successful outcome? Is it worth the effort to start up international collaborative projects in education?
This conference is designed to be an arena for knowledge exchange, debate and discussion on International Educational Collaboration involving two or more HEIs.
The conference is organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Nordland and the NORRUSS project “Higher Education in the High North: Re-gional Restructuring through Educational Exchanges and Student Mobility” (funded by The Research Council of Norway).
